what do you guys think? do you think it would pull it with out starting the belt on fire? lol I used to use this helix in my older e tecs and it worked pretty well I thought.. It would definitely shift up quicker than a straight 40, back shift shouldn't get hindered too badly cause of the stiffer secondary spring..??

I would think you would need a purple for sure if you wanted to try a 43/47 with the increased demands of the 174x3.

Had better luck with the 40 using purple spring. Ran a 160/380, 16.5 pins and 438 ramps. Overall performance I couldn't find anything better. Yes you can make something better here and there such as back shift or a li'l more top end, but all in all I found this to be the best all around setup. Good engine braking and decent back shift, pulled hard as well. Different strokes for different folks though.

the helix is actually a 47-44... I have found some good results with the 47-40 helix though..
