I am looking for some help with a TSS instaboost system that I purchased used about 4 years ago. The system came with the XIC 1000 control box (Version 3.4) and according to the guy I purchased it from, it ran flawlessly..
I am installing it on a 2014 XM 163 but am having some really bad bogging issues. Currently running 3/4 av gas - 1/4 91 oct mix and normally ride in 3500-6500ft above sea level. I am hoping to run between 6-9 psi of boost.

First off - does anyone have any instructions for installing this kit. Or even a hand drawn diagram of hose installation. I am also hoping to find a wiring diagram for the XIC 1000 into the stock harness. To the best of my knowledge we have everything connected correctly but she sure isn't happy in its current state.

Also hoping to find someone that has a solid setup with the instaboost/XIC combo and is willing to share there controller settings/fuel map.

I am located in south west BC and willing to take it to a shop have it tuned/setup properly if there are any suggestions.. I just want it to work

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

If there is one guy that could get you on track it’s Dave with Redline Engine in Sylvan Lake. Give him a call

Absolutely - I have the same kit on an xm 174 - you need the redline g2 or g3 box with the main fuel dial - or the Aurora fuel reactor box - the hose connections are simple - text me with any questions 639-840-3973 - best thing I did was get rid of the av gas

It would be nice if TSS was still up and running but there is no manufacturer direct support for their products anymore

I don't think there is a single person in western Canada that has spent as much - $ /time/blood/sweat/anger into figuring out the engineering problems with the TSS centre mount as I have - I've had to do a huge number of modifications - 5000kms of it booted so far

I appreciate that kingcat - I was just checking out your modified air box in another thread - how did it work out? I have a full fab shop at my disposal and was a custom stainless and aluminum fabricator/machinist in my past career so I am open to modifications.

I will definitely take you up on your offer and reach out once I get back home (currently working out of town for a few more days)

Curious - how is the Redline controller adjusted? Looking at their site, I don't see any buttons/screen.

The redline box is mint - it has a little dial that adds or subtracts 2% of fuel on the map for every click - the airbox mod works amazing - I sent Dave Sebelius a reed petal from my airbox reed and I'm getting custom cut reeds for it out of lighter material than carbon fiber - soon it will work even better - I had the Aurora box - bit I didn't put it in because I ended up fine tuning the redline mapping in my box and got it dialed perfectly

kingcat162 I have been using the Shelborne fuel additive for many years on my turbo sleds. I have had great luck with it and it sure simplified my fuel needs.

Kingcat162, did you get your sled working on monday? What was wrong with it.
I think I got a hole in my coolant line under motor because 2 years ago I had Bruno at the sled shop fix my sled under insurance - he put huuuge rivots in the belly pan - pretty sure that's the culprit

the redline box has a dial? I haven't noticed that on mine. I am running a G2 box.

Yes the new G3 HO box has a box with a small dial. This box controls the stock boost injectors plus the auxiliary injectors.

The g3 or the g2 will work on the etec 800 xm chassis - the dial is called " mainline fuel adjuster and it will work for either box " it can only control the secondary injectors on the 800 - it adds or subtracts 2% of fuel across the map

So you have the tss turbo kit on but you just change the fuel controller on
TSS centre mount pushing 7-10lbs boost - I put a redline G2 with mainline fuel adjuster knob - I did a huge pull in Monster bowl the other day - was reaching 11.8 on the afr's couple clicks to lean - nother pull - reading 12.5 - ready to let er eat

I have my redline box for sale, as I had silber do a reflash on my stock ecu.

I think it’s a g3? It has the fuel controller dial. It would be off a polaris though, not sure if that makes a difference?
