    Is that your sled?
I may have drooled on it a little.

You are not wrong, depends on what the sled is built for, no point in being geared for 80mph if the sled will not build it in the trees.

Nothing worse than getting on a turbo sled, and the bottom end feels like the throttle cable is an elastic band. So called turbo heads are very bad for that.

That can be fixed - powderfreaks head - gear it down to a 2.64 with a Tki belt drive - 10" big wheel kit - then watch what happens

    Lol
2.64 on a turbo...ya I’ll watch what happens! Make your turbo perform like a stocker!! Pulling the gearing out of a turbo is the quickest way I have ever seen to make sure she doesn’t pull. Dave obviously knows this, that’s one factor active in his driver change.
Beautiful sled! Looks like it should rip

    It is a beautiful sled.

    Just conversation.
If a builder choses 2.64ratio and uses 7t 3.5pitch, at 1:1 ratio that sleds final ratio is 70mph. With full OD at 84mph.
Properly setup, a 250hp kit better reach 70mph in 2ft of snow depending on the riders intended application. 2.52 may be a better choice, but will it sustain that trackspeeds with the track loaded?

Gearing has to be adjusted for driver size for sure.

I have rode all of Dave’s sleds in recent years I will say he has his kits are dialed his ability to control stock injectors makes throttle response very quick the guy is never happy and always trying to make things better. His 850 climber that he does all the chute pulls on reminds me of the old M10 nytros feels like they will pull forever. Then jump over to his personal sled with less aggressive rear suspension and it’s fun to ride.
