Not sure what kit your using it on, but impulse we found that snow after rolling sled can come up exhaust and cool sensor to quick cracking them..

impulse uses the a/f readings in there tuning, if it's happens to go bad there is a fale safe that ecm adds 6 percent more fuel to fuel curve..

Pre-heat helps. Can't remember how we set that up on my son's old TM1000 other than we added a battery. Warming it up before starting made them last a season rather than 3 rides.

Mall O2 kits should do an automatic pre heat.

Unless your running big boost don’t run straight AV. Also you can get different types of AV gas 100 with no letters after would be leased, 100LL is low led and 100UL is ultra low. AV straight burns slow and can give a over rich condition. Also AV buring slow give worst bottom end throttle response possible. Mix pump and AV and it will last a lot longer. At 8-10 psi I use 20-30% Av I’ve run as high as 16 psi on 50:50. I’ve had 7 boosted sleds and only ever changed 1 O2 sensors.

Buy fuse 116 octane, no lead, mix with 94 and still have big octane for boost. O2 needs to be pointed down to drain moisture.

Like Maierch said decalin is the stuff you want to keep O2 sensors around if your using leaded fuel.

My 2016 T3 eats the bosch sensor almost immediately. This is my first 2S turbo with an A/F gauge, always used the Racepak prior to this sled. I've also had three 4S turbos. None of them ever burned a sensor and I used Av gas in them. I believe its the 2 cycle oil myself?

You CAN NOT run leaded fuel with o2 sensors. Also the sensor needs to be pointed down slightly so that it doesn’t collect moisture, fuel, oil, etc. Call Bosch and ask them if you don’t believe it.

Been running a bosch O2 sensor for 2 years on a sled that runs straight av gas. If I can continue to get 2 plus years on a $100 sensor, i'll take it.

Most Vp race fuels, lots of race fuels have lead, Sunco, fury, etc. Just need to read the label. Fuse has a great unleaded, high octane race fuel. I buy it in the big drums and mix with husky 94 50/50 and still get 100+ octane.

Yea some sensors might last a bit with leaded fuel, but eventually they will fail and or start reading wrong. Some last a few hours, some months. If you’re just watching the AFR for the sake of monitoring it, no harm. But if you run a closed loop control system with o2 feedback, you’re playing with fire, especially under boost.

The sensor doesn’t have to completely fail for it to start reading wrong because of lead. That’s what I’d worry about, you’re adding or removing fuel chasing a condition that doesn’t even exist, juggling your engine in the balance.

Mercedes C63 with a whipple 2.9, 900hp at 12lbs boost with fuse/husky. All I run is husky 94 in it on the street, it loves it. Ethanol is a great fuel. Wish I could run E98 but my fuel system is maxed out already.
