I've got a 600km life expectancy on my reeds with a redline box G2 adjustable - carbon tech reeds - running full av gas - a dude at the cabin said I should put a little oil in my gas tank like 100:1 and throw my redline box in the woods and run a boost it box - but now they closed their doors ? - gonna go back to stock reeds i guess - im at a loss right now - 6 days of riding and reeds are nuked FML

A change in fuel controller wont affect reed life. Run stock reeds. On my Pro boost it overlays another reed petal over the stock one with the end half of the reeds cutoff, probably to help with reed life.

Ohh the BS people talk about

run stock reeds

there is nothing wrong with a redline box for fueling.

doubling up on stock for one side so they don’t over extend is not a bad idea, keep in mind this may cause more hesitation due to the stiff reed pedal now.

Your reed are shot from hitting the rev limiter man.... turn the boost down or clicker down

Dave at Redline at least supports his produce..... boost it ran away with bucket loads of cash and won't support their sh@& I would consider tossing the xic and going redline..... both work well but no one for support with boost it xic

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
There is support for boost it xic. Find the fella who makes them for boost it and he will help you out no problem. He's not a sled tuner but will check your xic out and fix any issues. As for tuning, you will have to do it yourself. It seems odd that boostit didnt leave contact info for xic repairs.

I'm guessing if you had went redline in the first place you were having problems with the boost -it box, before!!

i have witnessed myself where a boost it came into their shop with fueling problems and two hrs latter went out with there fuel controller and airbox and ran perfect.. Don't let the boost it rhetorics get to you, there is lots

The restrictive w/a airbox can be a bitch to fuel, always over fueling down low, not a desirable feature in the trees

biggest issue with reeds is to prevent over rev, hitting rev limiter shuts ignition off and the hot combustion temps and backfire pop and distort reeds real quick

as for stock reeds, they are good but no engine coughing or anything, they will be gone, even blowing a belt causing a over rev and your replacing reeds.. TDR reeds are thicker and last a little longer in those situations, but take away a little response

Dropped off my sled with Dave at Redline - He's gonna put a data logger on it and do a couple hot laps - thinking it might be over revving from clutching and new ratio on tki belt drive 2.53
