Ohhh that head ache of a code....I had that code come up a couple times on my 14 Xmx 154. Once I inspected the rave valves I found the position sensor was not tight. After I secured that it went away. However I doubt that's your issue.

A friend of mine had the same problem on his 13 Xm, dealer cleaned the rave valves 10-12 times, and the solenoid they never did figure out what it was. Ironically it started acting up right after it went in for a service and got the new 14 software. That friend of mine is very good AG mechanic and he figured it was software issue that the dealer and doo refused to admit. Dealer took the sled on trade for a new one.

When the code is active does it load up, run rich and shoot flames like this.... (video of my friends sled when it was acting up so we could show the dealer)

what kind of kit is on it? maybe has to do with the rave vale mod that needs to be done to turbo the etec and not over pressure the rave bellows? what is that code for? not meeting threshold or overshooting?

ok. maybe a good place to start is take it to specialty and have them do a rave valve calibration with buds. basically it is like zeroing a transmitter. I have seen on more then one occasion that a hard impact or removing the raves and reinstalling required this procedure do be done or the machine has issues. Call rob at specialty as ask specifically about this issue and he will tell you about a sled that was in there for this problem. Replace the white plastic valve between the throttle bodies for ****z n gigglez. I would double check to make sure the check valve and over pressure protection that was added with the turbo kit is installed correctly, as it sounds like you were in there replacing rave valve lines. How exactly did you melt the lines? if you dont mind me asking.

It's been to the dealer and they had buds hooked to it and calibrated the close middle and open positions. The dealer said they have replaced many rave valve lines on these Etec 800 due to the heat that's under the hood from exhaust the rave system sits right above the exhaust y pipe and tends to get super hot.... on mine even the knock sensor loom was melted but still working... if you have had your rave valves out on these etecs the whole top portion is plastic.... the problem is it ran great and now like s?&@ maybe worn check valve or blow off valve on rave I guess will check that thanks for info.

Check to make sure your exhaust springs aren’t sacked out and the y pipe junction isn’t separating under boost.

Just spent another couple hours bonding with my sled put on stand removed rave dust cap and ran sled raves move freely up down and middle removed control line and vacuum closes raves and pressure opens raves and does not leak so raves are good but while running sled raves move middle at idle and open at full throttle at no point did I notice them close Monday morning will order white manifold bu throttle body's and call specialty and riderz. This is real annoying went from super happy with system to lookin to buy a stock 850

So are u says when the sled is at idle the rave valves aren't closed? If u Rev it up do the raves close? They should at least close when u Rev it up. I would start with the white plastic manifold and pressure check all the lines from the manifold to the rave valves. Sounds like to me u have a vacuum leak.

somthing is no ok there. your raves are supposed to suck in when at idle. witch would lead to a vacuum leak somewhere in the system.

also.... just an fyi here. if for some reason you cannot figure this out. Dean at mad Motorsports does a rave valve mod where by he removes all lines, tunes out rthe solenoid and lets the raves work on cylinder pressure. ive heard nothing but great things, especially with the turbos. in fact i may be taking my boost it xm to have this does as it removes the lean spot in these machines that brp has in there for emissions. this could be a win win for you if you cannot get the factory rave crap working. ( it is crap im just saying, the 850 with the servo and cable... is why the 850 has the throttle response it does) anyways..... lets get this figured!

I called Neil with Boost It he said it's either the check valve on solenoid line or the white manifold located on the engine side after the throttle bodies I guess he has replaced lots of the white manifolds they have check valve inside that fail... I will also give Madmotorsports a call tomorrow on a cost to delete all these rave parts and hoses.... I will post back my findings and my fix.... Thx everyone

What I had said on last post, buy the white peice that lines run into between throttle body’s from raves, it was our problem that was gone after replacing it, carry a few spares now

I love to here more about deleting the pesky check valve and solenoid. How do u do it and do u have a check engine light?
