Been doing some research on what to run next year, and been pretty much siding with impulse or redline.. But dam this silbers kit is really looking good lately

Ya I know there service and costumer record in the past sure has some rough edges, but talking with them and watching some of the vids, they could have a home run here on the 850

With the 850, they are the first I heard ever to break into the doo ecm, $$ expensive venture and that right there I see great potential for perfect tuning, they state that they are only using doo stock injectors and doo stock boost injectors and are not running into demand problems right to 12 lbs boost.. Also no extra fuel controllers, ecms, wiring, no air box, no extra secondary injectors just adds up to a much cleaner and faster install over all.. No intercooler

They are using the 2863 kpa turbo and utilize stock oil pump and stock oil tank to once again clean up engine compartment, and have a fail safe system on stock ecm if pump goes down or low level happens.. Basically dead heading turbo oil so no return line is used.. I question this a bit, but discussed with guys that are running this system on their poos and trouble free.. One great idea that other kit builders could be using as well

Then when he discussed prices today he feels it could be a 3k$ kit and come with primary tuning.. 2- 3 hr install to bout if problems arise

their charge tube looks pretty wild and assures they have the 1.5times the bottom end volume we need for air, runs stock reeds and stating this kit is more responsive then there Poo kit and out performs it up high as well, motor loves boost and the kpa..this will be there best kit yet..

Be watching this kit real close and with a price tag it's almost half the price of others, quick install or removal if needed

Talking with guys running their Poo kits, they sure sound positive, and price of turbo is almost half the price of Garrett if something does goes wrong

For that price it might be worth a order, time will tell.. More info and pictures on their web site

Are they changing the fuel pump? And how much boost are they saying on pump gas? My buddy has an axys with the silber kit. They dont answer thr phone when theres a problem. They say he can run 7lbs on the axys and well it misses and seems like its running out of fuel on 7lbs. And on 5 lbs it will only rev 7850 when there supposed to rev 8350. Again they wont answer when he calls

I think there lieing aboit the fuel demand. The ports in the fuel tank are so restrictive its crazy. Just being tied in to the return line the 850 would run out of fuel for the extra injectors at 6lbs of boost. Had to tee into the feed line and make modifications to the fuel pick up assembly.

Yeah ive heard some good things about his axys kit.....but overall WAY too many bad things. And there seems to be a common theme of no communication when there is a problem. Dont see why a person would take the risk of running this kit when there are companies like Redline and Boost it right in Alberta.

No clue other than what he said on the phone, but would think it would be pretty easy to watch fuel demands with a gauge, maybe there was a fuel tank mod done

We have a few locals running there axys kits and they swear about them, true pull and go kit, spool up is almost stock, one guy over 1000km

they are doing testing out west next couple weeks on 850, hopefully true transparency soon, but some real good ideas in there kit if it works like they say at half the price to us, weight savings, and cleaner quicker install I do like

Seam to answer phone when I called and texted me numerous vids and info when I asked

In them hills.
I don't get it, why buy a USA built product with questionable product support when the two Alberta built turbo builders get rave reviews.
I agree with you.

But like Fred says it's interesting.

-flashed ECU (no additional a/f boxes)
- uses factory injectors
-price is 3000 USD vs 6000 CAD minimum

I don't think any of the local guys have the pockets to crack an ECU.

But it all means jack**** when your sled isn't running and no one will answer the phone.

10lb+ weight savings over Alberta kits
much quicker install and removal
much cleaner install with no air box needed, no aux injectors, no wiring harness for aux injectors
no aux oil pump, no aux oil tank, no wiring for oil pump
keep 3000 dollars in your wallet

i have no problems with Alberta, but these differences will get anyone's attention

i also really like my impulse kit, but all problems with it have been associated with fuses or power supply and cost me a turbo with a oil pump going down, with this system that problem would of been caught with a ses code and prevented damage..

In my experience extra injectors have many benefits. When running a stock injector near 80% pulse width, fuel delivery can become inconsistent and harder to tune. If a larger injector is used bottom to mid fuel delivery can be affected due to the injectors ability to flow more fuel at minimal pulse width. If these engines ran 02 and mass-air sensors these issues are less prominent. With the use of extra injectors, the injectors are a small cc injector that are easy to tune very accurately. The ability to adjust when they start adding fuel is huge since no two engines are ever the same. Being able to adjust boost fuel without a computer is a game changer, when you can set it on the hill for where you ride and once dialed you rarely touch it again. Ten pounds of weight is nothing, your gonna have 200hp lol.

Well if they are up to 12 lbs on stock injectors, one would think they could tune to 7or 8 lbs pretty easy with lots of pulse width left..

we will see how it tunes out with them, maybe they will need to add some extra, but the vids they put out, it seams pretty crisp, and yes self tuning with stock sensors and no additional would almost feel to easy

i would think they might need to add another ecm for all the different fuel maps needed for different boost levels, but they said not.. Time will see

10 lbs is ten lbs, spend 1000s of dollars to get that off

kPa Turbos assembles and balances all of our turbochargers here in the U.S. Each turbocharger has to pass a stricted VSR balance test before it's released for sale.

Of all the companies in all the world that have thought about getting into brp ecu, I doubt silber is the one to do it.

Justin comments..

Adrian Dobson the reason you haven't heard of it is because we're the first to be doing it on the Ski-Doo. We've been reflashing Polaris kits for 4 years now, with excellent success.

We can't give too much of our trade secret away. However, we can say aren't "tricking" the ECU, we are building an entirely new map and "flashing" this onto the stock ECU. This new map is able to actively manage the additional air at the intake manifold boost provides.

In a number of ways, this is no different than how an OEM turbocharged vehicle.

Through this technology, we've eliminated the tuning aspect of a turbocharged 2 stroke snowmobile as the ECU (ECM) is able to compensate for elevation, air temperature, boost levels etc.

Talking with Corry tonight he said this turbo tuning easily fits into stock ecm memory with room to spare, been exceptionally easy to tune after taking fuel out down low where other kits have had a stumble.. says this kit will change silbers reputation in boosted world hands down

"Anyone interested in the Ski-Doo G4 kit listen up as we have some additional information to disclose! To start, the kit is 100% bolt on, no cutting or further modification of the sled required. We take pride in our keep-it-simple install, this kit follows suit.
We are the first in the industry to be able to harness the stock ECU to control fueling requirements for the turbo. In addition, we will be able to control timing, exhaust valves and oil requirements via the stock computer. As of present time, we are the only ones in the industry able to do this, which is one reason this kit is proving to run *so* crisply.
Boost levels adjustable from 4-12 psi.
The kit will work from sea level all the way to the Colorado Rockies (high elevation). It can be setup to run pump gas or high octane fuel if boost levels warrant.
Everything you need comes with the kit, including clutching.
The kit will be available for pre-order in early April. Pricing will be in line with our other products. Stay tuned! (and yes, videos of this beast on snow will be soon to follow...)"
