I’ve seen multiple TSS turbo sleds running 10lbs boost for 4000+ km on stock Reeds.

Maybe your intake temps are too high. Shouldn’t be loosing reeds

And the lie detector test determined THAT WAS A LIE. TSS turbos and running rarely go in the same sentence

I've got a centre mount TSS with turbo force reeds and powderfreaks head pushing 8.5lbs and it works awesome - I recommend turbo force reeds for sure - I got 500kms out of stockers - put carbon tech in after from redline - nother 500 kms and sucked em in - got 1000 kms on turbo force reeds good to go

Front mounts maybe. Side mounts with boost it controllers work all day long. After you rework all of their poor workmanship of course
And that's exactly it....tuning. most every turbo is mounted the same with very similar components. Some seem to run like a raped ape and others a bag of $h!t. Many many times it's all in the tuning. The 4stroke world is no different.

well kit finally installed, lot more work than I had thought, and never received the race can yet so used the large heavy trail can and it never lined up very well, needed tlc, also the oil lines don't look very secure off oil pump, top large cold air intake hose does not fit well, everything is so tight on 850, even y pipe springs are a bitch to work on.. this should of been the simplest kit and quickest, but It was not … had went with strait line ramps and shockwave helix.. geared up a tooth to 2.4 and try that left stock reeds in.. seams very revive on stand, not like my etecs turbos, more like a n/a sled.. left stock boost spring in.. time to stretchy her legs

I see there is a 2.5 lb weight savings from the trail can to the race can, what’s guys thoughts on it that had both, is it worth the trouble, how much louder are they, love the smaller size for ease of install and cleaning it up, non plastic melt.. is there any hp loss with them or sputters in the deep on exhaust side..

Fred you have big feet and an even bigger big toe. I bet you got a big hammer too! Flip flops are dirty tho. You don’t want to draw attention to a 4” long big toe so leave them dirty. Turbo is shiny. Priorities are in order!! Haha
Hahaha.....not Fred's pic. That's my beautiful feet in the ol shop flip flops. They've seen a lot of use lol. You know what they say.....big feet.....

Big shoes!

that’s someone else that posted that toe picture..lol

little shocked how much rolling resistance is on this g4 secondary over the xm or carbon chassie, track sure seams tight in comparison, wonder how much hp is robbed by that alone

what are guys doing for venting with this kit installed, looked at a few YouTube vids and lots of wrap needed and still some melt, looks like vents needed on either side panels to let some heat out

picture of the trail can in comparison to picture above

Was talking with a buddy that ran the tra race clutch numerous trips last year on the 850 instead of pdrive, no vibration or concerns so I might have to try that one as well, bolts right on and ran great he said, it’s also almost 4 lbs lighter and might give the the needed down low belt squeeze, I so often here about that is needed.. maybe swap one over for field testing from other kits, have lots of tuning parts for them if price is a putts

I would do a custom divorced down pipe, and get rid of both of those heat catchers Fred! They will both just hold and build heat, simple is better...the best exhaust for a turbo is no exhaust!

Remember the incredible urge to wet your own pants my downpipe gave you Fred!? Hahah just look at your facial expression in the screen shot!! Haha that was a good day

Yes listen to Ez smoke - divorce that stupid can - only reason why any sidemount turbo gets plugged off from snow is because of that big abortion - the turbo is the muffler nothing else is needed besides a straight pipe - why do you think BD and Force are putting a pressure release valve in their kits? Because the turbo already gives too much back pressure as it is without any added hot garbage after the turbo

Well took it out to the feild today, and did some testing, thing is very Revey, almost would not know it’s a turbo, no wine or wisthle, 79-8100 on the tack every wot rip on it.. this is at 2800’ so she will drop 4-500 rpm at 7000’elevation I would think, might need some tweaking there, might need a boost gauge mounted to confirm boost, to me it don’t feel like it should for hp, but hard to load motor in poor snow, fueling felt good, no hiccups

Go with your gut Fredw. You know what good performance feels like. In my experience, performance doesn’t get better at higher elevation. You got this.
