I put 1800km on my silber turbo last year ran flawless after I got the clutching dialed in... looks like they may have a clutch weights update as well I deal with Cory at silber always answers his phone or texts back... FYI

What did you do for clutching? How many pounds you running?

Venom. What intake mod is the bd. Just a couple 90’s and out the hood. I have a diamond s mesh hood and am looking at doing something like that to shorten up the tube
also giving it a test at home 2000ft there’s a stumble from the bottom some times, is that normal or will it go away with altitude, running probably 80% av on 5# spring. Will be targeting 40% av for the mountains. As what SHR told me to run with his clutch kit

I'll b running the same setup as the BD sidekick. Aluminum intake adapter and 3" flex hose. If u look at the BD instructions you'll c what I'm talking about. I'm gonna give it a go anyway. If there's any issues I'll just go back silber intake. I did some test runs on mine as well at 2200 ft and it ran like crap with the 3 lb spring and silber clutching. Ran much better with no spring at all. I don't ride at low elevations but just want to get a couple of test hits in before the mountains.
I ran 5lbs on 50/50 av last year but had a slight stutter/stumble when I stabed the throttle right after constant throttle at very low speed only. It wasn't horrible but annoying all the same. Called justin at silber and he said to try 60/40 mix. I did that but same issue.
Think I may run just 94 pump this year. No ethanol though.

You dont have to buy it if you dont want to. BUT im running a p-85 and a team secondary with real light springs and weights with a real soft belt from a skidoo 600 all of 5lbs and it gives my silber 850 a solid spanking all day long. dont believe it take it for a rip. not sure if its one part of the combo or all of them working together. but as far as im concerned its the best set up.
What is your weight and spring setup in your p85?

Unfortunately this is something i am not allowed to disclose due to the ridiculously high amount of people searching for Intel and then providing the same product making claims that it is their own tried true and tested set up. good example of this is redline who from the sounds of it has since been cut off of being supplied the primary's from Indy specialties for this exact reason. i can tell you that the fly weights are custom machined proprietary to mountain magic, for any further information feel free to give them a call and tell them Justin sent you.

Haha this is awesome. Fake clutchers be aware. KBI is watching and will expose if need be. I already have one Canadian clutch guy who claims his mountain stuff is the bee knees. It’s actually a joke. It’s that bad. Personal experience. So fun. Just waiting for the perfect timing.

Hey if you gotta better set up then i what im currently running im all ears open. But so far this is the best that i have personally found. and ive spent alota of money on the "clutch kits" that are being offered by various vendors. as far as im concerned getting the 850 wobble unit off is the first thing that needs to be done. the secondary set up i like cause i can actually take it off without taking the whole unit apart. pair that all with the fact it fixed my ****ty belt blowing boost it kit, along with the way it makes the same hp feel. home run. ur the specialist, me im just saying it no bs works.

Its all good bro! I wasn’t saying that your set up doesn’t rip and it’s cool that it does. There’s sooooo much junk out there as you have experienced so I agree with you. I don’t know what sled/turbo you are running. No clutch info needed unless it’s a different primary or secondary. Lemme know and I’ll tell you what I would do. No guarantees it will work so take it with a grain of barley. What year, track length, mods, gearing if known, where you ride, how much do you weigh? I love thinking.

SHR has a good set up as well but I had already bought the zollies... yup 95 grams the 90 grams where too light... worked great for me 165 with 22 tooth top gear gets the track speed up a bit as well.... Ken at MM tried selling me his p-85/ secondary set up but I’m a cheap poor farmer.... hope this helps worked for me and never blew a belt

Looks like they have tailstander gen 2 fly weights out now.... I would give westlock power sports a call they have SHR weights in stock and have been installing the silber kits I used silbers recommendations for clutch springs and only changed the fly weight ,gear ratio and installed panel vents

Doing some preseason checks and there it is, cracked reed. 1400km on 5lbs. I've ran bd turbo reeds in the past with great results. Also jeff at silber recommended boyesen turbo reeds. Don't wanna keep replacing stockers.

who do you order the turbo reeds from im probably going to need a set sooner or later only 100 km turbod but 1100 on the sled

is there any dead give aways of cracked / chipped reeds? my sled ran great last weekend but had a odd sound lower in the rpm range on the trail, above 6000 it sounded normal, it also has a very slight stumble off the bottom when i work it hard and got it hot.
but my intake is under the mesh hood so i figured it was just sucking hot air off the bottom till i got moving

The last time I ordered reeds was from BD Canada. Just talked with specialty sled in Edmonton and they have brp reeds but it's a stouter reed. I do believe it's their race series.

7950 rpm.Talked with silber and a few other performance shops to source out some different reed options. It's a issue that they see frequently with brp stock reeds when boosted. Personally I think it should b included in all kits. This is nothing new, that's y I checked them. This is the first time I haven't ran a heaver reed.
