Etec turbo issue

Hey I have a etec turbo. Has a fresh motor. Recently it has decided that once it goes through its warm up and you go to move it that it should only run on one cylinder. Usually runs fine while warming up thean the pto side drops out as soon as you move it. Changed plugs wires cools already. Any suggestions??

No engine lights. Has good spark. Changed stuff to be sure but still has good spark on both. Only thing I can think is maybe an injector but at $650 I don't want to order one till I'm sure. Trying to get the local doo dealer to get it in but been waiting a cpl weeks now

If you're in Red Deer, there is a guy named Thane in the area who has Candoopro which is the aftmkt version of buds. If he still has it he can test/check your injectors. Not sure how to get a hold of him any more?? He usually has ads on Kijiji with lots of Doo parts/motors.

If you suspect injectors, perhaps swap them? see if the other hole dies?

When it dies is the dead side having a wet spark plug or a dry one like no gas . You need to figure out if your losing spark or fuel on that jug

Last winter my sled died up on Eagles. Came across the lake, hit a bump, the sled burped and died. Got it fired back up but only running on 1 cylinder. I drove it out and took it to the dealer and found that the wires going to injector had shorted right at the injector body and parted on the pto side.. On the scanner we could see it was a faulty injector, checked the wiring harness back and everything looked good, we had to pull the injector and look underneath to find the break. BRP warrantied, all good now.

What year? Could be magneto/ stator. Had same issue. 2013 and 2014 have bad design and will crap out sooner than later.

as I said. Good spark. Already went through all that and no issues

Perhaps as the machine warms up the resistance increases and shuts off an injector. I'd check all wiring. Like Troy said, also pull the plug immediately and see if there is a lot of fuel in that jug?

Trackside in Olds has a version of CanDoo Pro as well. They might be a little quicker to get into than the Red Deer Guys. Call 403-556-7009 as for Brad.

I had similar issues with my T etec, was a coil issue once warm it would run on one cylinder. Coils are decently cheap but if you haven't had the tank off before they can be a pain. Just read your post again did you mean you changed plugs wires and could already?

Dealer got it plugged in. Low fuel pressure. Will put in a new fuel pump and see what happens

Glad you got it figured. For future reference thou you can get the codes on your panel. Can't remember exactly how but the process is similar to the summerization mode initiation. If you have a trouble code active just hold one of the two buttons on the dash then flash high low till it tells you the code. If it asks to summerize then cancel out and do it again with the other button held instead. Then you need to Google what the code means.
