well I checked the squish..... .035" which is with the .015" gasket.... if I put in the .022" gasket it will only give me .042".....what do I do? can I double up on these cause if I do that (both .015" and .022") I would get .057" squish.....or do I put that alum shim (.080") in with 515 as a gasket and go with it to make a squish of .100"? I need a .040" or bigger gasket to make a .060" or bigger squish......the base squish (if this is what you call it?) would be .020"..... HELP

one of main issues was a pod that was not letting enough air in cause it was in a very tight spot.....triple in a zx is tight! im down to 370-360 and I need to go leaner still.....have to wait to get more jets! I need to find a smaller pod so it is not compressed where it is.....would be great if I could go 90 deg straight up from carb but im sure that will restrict air flow.....the good part is now it is running rich on all 3 cylinders.....now more jetting! oh and engine is still going hard! lol

UPDATE! well after many hours of testing and tuning this dam sled is going to get crashed.....lol well long story short I was running 1100 on the EGT and it was down 1000 rpm (73-7400 max) so I moved the clickers from 3 to 6.....no change in RPM what so ever.....so I drilled out the pins (14.5g from 16g).....no frickin change in RPM! tried a few different clutch spings....no change....bought a brand new balck green ski-doo spring....no change but I like how it works now except for the lost RPM.....so today went out to test again.....plus 15 and noticed my EGT were down to 850-900 max and lost more RPM.....so after all of this I think Im going to lean the b!t(h out.....it has 330 (which I thought was crazy lean) and going to put 310 (weather is hot) and see if I get EGT up to 1200-1250 and see what the RPM does.....sled will lift the skies at any speed but if EGTs are low there must be more power to be made......going to check piston wash but plugs were dark brown so I knew I was close.....then weather went up 15 deg to plus 15.....I will get this thing running for spring break....lol on the good side the crank that I was all worried about not being good......is still running nice with out an issue and yes I have been driving it hard....well with the missing 1000 RPM.....I hope 8500 wont kill it......some guys say make it turn 9100 and some say 8200 so I think 8500-8600 is my goal! been working out more issues with secondary clutch hitting the jack shaft bolts and rear suspension issues......the last owner I can see was a crackhead cause this sled in no way was a great runner with no issues (middle cylinder gone...funny how that cylinder had a brand new plug in it, clutch hitting bolts, rear suspension issues, pod crushed and not letting air in to engine, the list goes on) moral of this story is I screwed my self when I took some one's word......I know the bike I traded for the sled was exactly what I said it was......I wish I would have kept the bike....lol guess I have a conscience and could never sell something on false words....but my fault for taking someone word....back to the jetting tomorrow!

Shoot for 8600-8700 rpm, the 9100 is with the big volume pipes that probably wouldn't fit in your chassis anyway.
Take a few pulls with the hood off, make sure you aren't suffocating it.

thanks for info.....hood is off but even when its on it will let all the air in since it is a diamond S mesh hood.....lol

this thing is getting leaner and leaner and coming alive......was at 300 mains yesterday.....now down to 270 and EGT's are about 1150......but the main thing is now RPM is up to 7700 (still with the 14.5 gram pins and clickers on 6)....I guess I just keep lowering the mains......I'm thinking it will end up around 250 at 1000 feet and plus 15.......I feel this is major lean but the more I go the more it pulls the RPM!

Start looking at wash and plugs, it'll let you know when you go to far fairly quick. I've recalled EGT and seen 1350 several times, but so many variables such as probe position, probes etc. play a part.
