1994 583 motor into 1996 oil pump advise please

Hey every one just looking for a little insight on this sawp. I blew the motor in my 1996 670 and I repaced it with a 583 from a 1994. Every thing swaped good but I was just wondering if it will be ok with the upper mounted oil pump on the 583. In the 1994 the oil tank sat quite hight above the pump now in the s chassis it sits almost level with the top of the oil tank. So im wondering if I should put the rotory valve cover off the 670 motor on the 583 so it is more near the bottom (looks like they inerchange) or dose the oil pump have enogh suction to pull the oil up if I were in a low oil situation. Im gessing this is the reason ski doo put it under the carbs on the S chassis becase than it sits lower than the bottom of the tank. Any insight would be great thanks

get rid of the oil pump and mix the fuel
