07 Summit, when the starter button is pushed the starter engages and spins the engine, engine turns over but no fire. Then, pull the rope, one pull, loud back fire and starts right up. Next time you shut it down and restart with the e-start it works as it should.
Does anyone have thoughts on intermittent e-start issue like this?
Let me know because it makes no sense to me.
Thanks, Dan

No spark when starter is engaged ... grounding wires were an issue for some machines in this model. 800? Is battery getting sad?

Yes, 800. Battery is good. This is the second starter (OEM) and it has been on for over a year.
Checked what grounds we could see, may have to take the exhaust pipe off to find some more. We have the wiring diagram and we thought we checked all grounds.
Will double check.
I was starting to think that the starter wasn't talking to the ECM telling it to fire. But everything else works properly. Confused.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, Dan
