I have a 2005 800 Summit. It had been in storage for about a year and a half. I changed all of the fluids, greased the frame, changed the plugs, pulled the carbs and cleand them. It runs great, except that I have no power to the Tach and no headlights and no tail lights. I have a shop manual and I've been pouring over it, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone has run into this situation before. Thanks!

That relay will also cause your battery not to charge if you have one equiped.

i have an 07 summit xrs and have no low beams.when i turn the head lights from low to high or back my guages go down for about 10 sec. could that be the same problem?

Last March my 07 XRS had only high beams. Checked inside the dimmer switch and found a wire solder connection for the low beams was loose. Re-soldered and good to go.
Today all lights and tach went out. Sure enough it was the relay above the secondary. Replaced the NAIS CB1-M-12V relay with a NAPA AR143 and ready to ride again.

Also keep a extra one, learned my lesson when mine went 40km in the woods, during the night of course.
