One bent track clip can definitely make funny marks, that’s where I’d check first.

The more common theme here is when guys have their alignment/tension set properly (which a rear adjustment only), the front is not the same... this is front drivers not spaced properly. They’re probably evenly spaced to fit the track windows, but shifted slightly to the right causing wear on the outer left side of the front rail guide.
I think your onto something here.
How does a guy adjust the driver spacing. I have never messed with that.

By removing the shaft and using a press. Not worth the hassle. Just looked at my 2021 turbo it looks the same. When we press on aftermarket drivers Ken Used to put them like an 1/8” from the outside of the track windows so the track wouldn’t walk around. Factory drivers are pressed centered

I was afraid that was the answer.
