After never running a stock can on a sled since my 1987 Arctic Cat EXT it’s time to give it a go. The can I had on never gave me any issues at all; but I do trust the opinions of guys that say there is losses or changes in power curves with the aftermarket cans. So I guess I’ll be in stealth mode now.

I read that post and it said it changes the power curve. Maybe for the better? I do agree that a loud can is not an option though. I have a friend with the Specialty trail can on his Expert and he is convinced that it works better than the stock can.

i have ran stock for a few years now and like the quiet, but also feel best performance imo. a guy i ride with ocasionally tried a can and went back to factory and then tried another can and then back to stock, he felt best performance with stock.. you would think engineers designing these sleds would have the best they can do from factory but would be nice if they could lighten it up. some people swear cans improve performance while others say worst performance.

Plus the balance point side to side is ruined by lightening the one side with a can.
