So as many of you know the rear skid shock on the doos is terrible. Mine was blown and I needed a new one. I didn’t want to pay $250 and have to replace it next season again so I figured why not take a fox shock off a cat and make it work.

So this is what I’ve got so far. Four new bushings and a plastic bracket.

Not really. Carbonsled and Toms suspension have done something like this before
I like what your doing here.

Will the QSL shock out of the cat catalogue be the same eye - eye as what your using?

The QSL shock from cat is $650.
I am a big believer in that lock feature.

As long as it’s 16.5” from centre to centre it’ll work. I was going to go with that one but I’m wanting one convert my front skid shock too so it’s not in the budget

This is awesome. I’ve been thinking of doing this for years. Sign me up for a bracket

For the uneducated on suspensions what does this change/make better?

It adds more shock tuning options for the rider. For example the stock shock with springs has only 5 options, this has infinite. This shock is also rebuildable and is a better quality shock then HPG designed ones. It will also decrease the huge amount of sage that ski-doos have, although you should have a little bit as it’s designed for that. My shock swap won’t decrease any travel that the sled had before and keeps all of the same geometry.

You still keep the torsion springs correct?
