Current sled is a 2018 Freeride with close to 4000 km's. I purchased a new 2020 X, I assume I can swap the shocks from one sled to the other, both are 165". I know the spindle changed this year but I believe the shocks should be interchangeable. Anyone know the torque values for the shock bolts, front and rear?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone know how to get this stupid bar with wheels off the bottom of the shock? Front skid shock.

It looks like you'll have to press the wheel bearings off the shaft and remove the spacers/ bushing from the shock. I looked at mine but the expert is different because of the adjustable limiter strap arrangement. The shock and wheels are on their own cross shafts.

That’s what I was thinking as well after looking at it more. I think that might be to big of a PIA for this guy and the tools I have.

thanks

Spacers should just fall off, bearings should be tight but loose enough to push off

If not the French men are engineering fools

Having to press bearings off shafts to change shocks is so retarded

By pressing off I mean a slight interference fit between the bearing and the shaft. Problably just a few thou. They won't be size on size and just slide off. You can hillbilly it up and support the wheel in one hand and beat the shaft with a hammer in the other....or support the wheel in a two piece bearing puller and put it in a light press and off they come...Even a retard can do it, tex78.

I did mean if they made them preseed onto the shock shaft, that's retarded and be a first for doo

Normally in previous sleds, that shaft and stuff on it loossy goosy

Mind you, new thing to have the idlers on that shaft

On my ‘18 Freeride it all came apart super easy but no idler wheels on the shaft. On the new sled I beat the F out of the shaft with a rubber mallet while propping a wheel and it didn’t budge. They are TIGHT! Sucks that it’s the last shock to switch over and it being a bugger.

Thanks for the input.
