Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Bahahahahaha. No flywheel, Wobble clutch=Engine eating harmonics. Dumb French twats. What did they think was gonna happen?
Damn, try as they may, Brp just didn’t make to the end of warranty. You can bet they held out as long as long as possible too. As if in the middle of summer a bunch of sled issues popped up. It’s not like they didn’t know about this years ago.
I feel bad for my friends but as for Brp-Bahahahahaha. Frog karma right there.
I see that this was issued in May but my soap box talk still stands.
And we got to find out how many 850enginrs were sold. 7,025.

I wondering if any of the big three has ever considered to make a sled that doesn't have issues? IMO they are all ticking timebombs and getting more expensive everyday like everything else. Now I need a coffee

The recall is for a fuel line....
yes but I believe the harmonics are killing the injectors, causing crazy wiring issues, chaffing fuel lines and self destructing engines by 2500km.
All good tho. It is possible Brp will build a bulletproof sled and learn how to treat customers. Strange things happen when you lose market share, lose millions of dollars due to recalls, lose tens of millions on warranty claims, faced with four more years of recalls/warranty issues and manage to piss off 70% of your customers. Cheers to Brp tho! Don’t let me down you clowns. I know you can build good sleds. Have someone test the sleds who will honestly tell you what’s wrong with the prototype/test sleds. Not an asskissing ladder climbing schmuk who is scared of losing his job or discount. Lemme have that job. I only need one ride for about a 500ft climb. I’ll do it for free. I knew the g4 was a bad design on my first 500ft climb. I secretly rode the preproduction g4. I couldn’t believe Brp was gonna produce the pogo stick wheelie monster. I honestly was shaking my head thinking “they aren’t really gonna market this are they?” If the sled sucks, you’ll be the 1st to know. I don’t need any money. That 850 engine and chassis should not have got past the first snow test. The project shoulda been scrapped and started from scratch.
Now go build us a sled we can be proud of Brp.

You put on a lot of miles in a year. In my opinion, both sleds require operating on the “two sled” system. A main sled and a backup sled.
The 850 g4 will give you tons of small and big issues and many trips to the useless dealer. They deny a ton of stuff on warranty.
The Cat will give you clutch issues. They wear quickly. It’s also a new motor this year so there is the unknown. You won’t be waiting for parts like Doo tho.
It sucks but there isn’t a brand that doesn’t give troubles currently. Yamaha, Cat, Polaris, Doo in order of reliability.
Either way, Id guess minimum $1,000 for unscheduled maintenance and emergency repairs with either choice.
Kanedog advice is no advice at this time. Too many unknowns.

well ****. maybe skidoo will hook up half a dozen for me to test out. if not I'll have to chance it. are those 850''s rebuildable at all, or do you throw them out when they blow.
