Had my hood off and doing some work on my 850 and found a huge oil slick running down front of block by rave valves and around pto cylinder making a huge mess...... dealer replaced rave base gasket under warrenty.... the gasket was torn.... point is I never noticed the leak without removing the hood and inspecting

Dealer also said they have done quit a few already with this leak..... may explain why these 850s use lots of oil

Where does the oil leave the chassis? Could cardboard layed under the sled show where the oil came from? Will the leak show up at idle? Then tear down the sled to confirm? What was oil consumption before and after the fix?

mine was coming out of the y pipe, I took mine off and drained the oil out of the pipe in a jug. I was surprised how much came out. Had to put a rag in the y pipe to stop it from dripping while I had the pipe off.

There are 2 oil lines feeding the top of the rave valves one of mine was leaking and the gasket between cylinders and rave was torn..... take your hood off and look the leak can’t be missed if it’s leaking

Could also be coming from the rave valve seals....

Mine has been rolled many times in the snow and no oil ever leaked out of it..... this is a warrenty issue rave fittings and gasket leaking oil... just a heads up to check the 850s out I only noticed mine when I had hood off installing a silber kit

Black oil means burned through the engine. It will clean up if it is coming from the y pipe doughnut. They seem to need to go through a good heat cycle to seal properly for some reason?

My new 19 had a black gooey puddle under it after unloading from dealer. Pulled hood for front bumper and belly pan install. There was a huge sticker of some sort melted on y-pipe dripping black goo and down into belly pan and out onto floor. Not sure what the sticker was as there wasn't much left of it but made quite a mess. Not saying this is what your issue is but sure made a mess in my new sled. I should have taken Pics
