Found a 2017 850 for a decent price but am hearing horror stories about them. Debating if I would be better off buying a 2015-16 800 with the 163 or 174 track. Trying to stay on budget. Don’t want to be disappointed with the 850 just looking for opinions on them. Thanks

15 16 xms were bullet proof 17 850s had there issues its a dice roll on the 850 some awesome ones some not so awesome. If you go for the 17 spend the time and really look it over when the 850 works it is a animal tho will say that but im
not as confident in the reliability of mine compared to my xms, 2500 miles on my last xm original engine and 0 issuss other then rider error the 850 engine hasnt proved itself yet like the 800s

In them hills.
T3 xms were bulletproof.
And a good deal, lots of clean ones out there sub 8k.

Your rolling the dice on a 17 850.
Has to be gone through with a fine tooth comb and make sure all the updates are done.

I fully agree with the fact that the xm was bullet proof. I got 5000 miles on my 15 and it hasn’t given me very much trouble ...........but the 850 is hands down the most fun I have ever had on a sled In the hills. Yes there’s issues. Yes they can be fixed for the right amount of cash and wow will you have a smile on your face. Plus it will sell better when your done with it.

They can't even waffle off a 2017 850.
They have a side pot for over 30 vacant spots.
