Not really, Brp products are technically not made in Canada, they are assembled. Even the belts are made In the USA.

Now a days I am not sure that it matters. During the summer season we used to have old school buses from Montreal and surroundings carting students to the farms in the Saint Lawrence Low Lands. Today there are only people from poorer countries willing to do the work. Even with cleaner jobs and air conditioned work there is a progressive and significant drop in working students! Who is paying for them to live? It's a crazy social cycle. We will take care of our kids like we wish we had been taken care of. Now both the husband and wife need to work to support the family. These are cycles that are terribly difficult to change much like trying to put pressure on BRP that will change regardless.

Changing jobs from one manufacturer to another won't necessarily provide job guarantee nor long term stability. But being smarter about our families to help them get educated will help them better fend for themselves. I get that you guys have this insatiable need to help the masses fight the monsters, but I don't see it helping by making deals with ever bigger ones. Ski-Doo sleds are still built in the Americas, so they should be treated as such. If we start making excuses with transfer payments between provinces there will be no end to these discussions as we can use countless of examples all around the world. We should make an effort to avoid making it about where I live and pay my taxes, and maybe we have a chance to fight for something better.

Statements like this make me wanna barf.

Remind me why we make transfer payments to you guys when you can get a job packing boxes for $100k/year out east.

Even a clinically retarded primate could pack boxes.

Dude, you didn't bother reading, did you? This was three decades ago! A a good portion of our best schooled go out West to make three times as much doing anything including packing boxes. All the money has gone out West. You need some serious history lessons.

Not sure what any of this has to do with the 2020 skidoo G5? but if you are having financial problems you should probably give up sledding and work on getting your money right.

Only money that has come west is as an investment to make the east richer. Take a look at breakfast cereal. Grain is bought in the west and then shipped down east where it is processed and boxed into your breakfast cereal only to be shipped back to us to sell at hundreds of times its original cost. Our bad for being so not at setting up our own processing plants. Reality is we are slowly diversifying and our population is increasing so there will be the days we count less and less on the east.

So true...........it would be sweet if the Mods could keep things on track in the threads. Maybe then, there would be more traffic in the forum once again.

Have 2 or 3 threads for BS. Then keep the others on the correct path.

A week ago I checked all of the last replies from a guy we all know who keeps replying crap on the G4 forum. I could not find one reply regarding sleds as they were all political. Then I posted a few tangent political replies that I think showed how this G4 forum has been left to turn political instead of about sleds. The question I have is why don't you guys report them? If you don't then you are saying it is ok to turn a sled forum into constant politics. These guys don't even own let alone work on a Ski-Doo, so why let them keep herding anti-G4 crowds to your forum?

I an sorry that you got caught up in this craziness, but I didn't mean to strike a political discussion. Some guys are being allowed by the public to take each and every topic of G4 discussions to consume them into a political nature. I assume/hope that being a supporting vendor it doesn't help you either.

It is a sign that everyone is getting a little bored waiting for some real news on what is coming down the line for 2019 and beyond. I don't think anyone is really coming here this time of year to find anything new sled related. When there is good info nobody bothers with politics. For what it is worth the new clutch venting on the 2019 G4 and expected new clutching may make a 2019 attractive enough to buy now rather than wait another year. The criteria on the decision is probably best made depending on what you are riding now? Is a 2019 a decent upgrade? I wouldn't be surprised if 2020 includes a bit of a power bump to try and regain power domination over Cat and Polaris. There is no way that BRP is getting max. power out of the current 850.

Been away fishing where there was no internet service.

WHOA did I ever touch a nerve!!!!!!!
A wee tad sensitive to the truth.
Just google it!!!

Truth is Daggy boy if you didn't come and stir the pot all would have remaineded quiet as you stated.

If you stopped stirring the pot 98% of the crap responses would not exist.
Just look what happened since you've shown up.
All was quiet till you hopped off yer lilly pad and started stirring.

Just sayin.

Speaking of history.
We were making transfer payments way back when all you box packers were making 100k a year.

"A formal system of equalization payments was first introduced in 1957. The idea was based on the proposals of American economist James M. Buchanan and they were introduced mainly to help the struggling Atlantic provinces who were seeing low rates of growth and high rate of emigration to central Canada."

How many BRP products does one have to own to be able to criticize the company or the product?

And where are the political posts in this thread before you got back from the maple syrup trough?

Why sledding is cheap.
Well if a guy doesnt have much money and thinks 100g a year is lots of cash, id say sledding isnt really a great way to spend the money you do have.

But doesn't really effect me so what ever..

i suggest we take the appropriate needed steps to cause Doo sleds to become a foreign import product , to the benefit of all Canadians.
