I remember reading about this, but think it was on the T3. Is there enough tunnel clearance to run 1 bigger tooth on the drivers on the G4? I sure dont like how tight you need to run the track either. Bigger drivers would help. Only going to help the attack angle too. Only downside (if there is enough clearance) is possibly whacking the driveshaft off a stump. Need to take a look at how far down the stock drivers sit to see how far they would be hanging down.

You having issues on a 165" or 175"?
Are they using different drivers from the T3?

Not familiar with the G4 tunnel clearance, but going from a 6 tooth 3.5" pitch to a 7 tooth 3.5" pitch goes from 6.68" diameter to 7.79", or an increase of 1.11" or you will lose .55" or just over 1/2" in the tunnel. So you need to have that much extra clearance to make this work.

And doing a quick google search I can't find anyone that makes a 7 tooth 3.5" pitch driver.

I have a 165x3". Not having any issues. Just thinking it would be a relatively cheap way to gain performance. Less rolling resistance, better approach angle, looser track.

I ordered a set up of 7 tooth for the G4, sounds like I will be tapping or massaging the coolant inlet some to make room on left side of bulkhead, right side has lots of room.. Some guys massaged the paddles a little.. We will see

yes should make the 850 trench less and get up on snow better, run track looser

Be tough for drives haft and rear idler bearings to have chance of long service life with the tracks super tight on G4.
Waste of HP.
In the old days like 15-20 years ago you ran the track as loose as possible to free up some HP.
Be nice if 7 tooth would fit with out shaving lugs.
Back to drop and roll kits?

The 3.5 pitch is a really good track, not the most efficient track out there, smaller pitch tracks are better.
Anyone try a 3.0 pitch camso with 7t on their G4?
