I just checked the bulletin. This is for the 165 models as well.

2017-9 Gearing change
2017-10 Shims added on PDM side
2017-11 Loose fuel screws on throttle body, engine harness chafing so a couple harnesses relocated and changed around

All covered on warranty for 154 and 165 Summits Go to your dealer and tell him he needs to check Bossweb. There are updates to bring the 2017 up to 2018 standards but those are customer pay. Some dealers have programs to cover some of the costs of these upgrades for their customers.
Well leave it alone except for the stuff above :). oh yes. Don't forget the blow hole :)

My dealer is just plain dumb or just don't wanna do the work I'll bug them when I bring it in for the one recall there gonna do ! Thanks for clarifying this! I did actually show them the page where it list the six things that could be done and it shows the two being covered by BRP the ones u mentioned above ! And then they went on and on about that was put out by marketing and brp was not covering certain things ! I think BRP needs to get there **** together and commicate better with there dealers !

They are communicating though. There were warranty bulletins issued for the dealer to read and react to. Your dealer is the one at fault here in my estimation.

You never know, they could just be plain dumb. I put suspension on mine last year and they were shocked. Wondered if it actually makes a difference. I called them a couple weeks ago about the grip n rip and they've never heard of them. Can't believe they've never even come across that with an xm. Some of the sh#t they tried to sell me for the 850 was shocking too.

With respect to all the banter and chatter, I have decided to have the motor mount shims, gearing change, and any recalls done on the 2017. I am going to pass on the bulkhead brace kit and the finned secondary.

It is hard to decide because there were no issues with this sled. It will be nice when the snow flies to be able to compare temps on the 2017 with the 2018.

Ive been debating the same thing Doug. Part of me says do it, the other part says if it aint broke, dont fix it. Is there any timeline on getting the updates? It would be interesting to take a heat gun out and take clutch temps before and after. Also monitor track speeds. If the change is for the worse a person can always change it back.

Will they let you keep the gear that they are taking out?

Right on. Those are a couple of questions that I have not asked. I will get the changes done when I pick up the 2018. Just working on a time line now.

Same here on upgrade.
Dealer pulled the deal and WILL NOT be covering more than what is covered by BRP.
If you want the other upgrades you have to pay.
Must be close enough to the 18 season that the 17 owners don't matter any more. Can I call'm or what.

Got the email official bulletin.
Only part missing in bulletin was the closing......you're fawked and we're akin more money on you. Getting the BRP upgrades to aid in sale!

If the brace gives u a fighting chance against a side impact why would you not run it, cheap insurance on the bulkhead i installed mine and it wasnt bad at all. I was chocked about having to cover the cost out of pocket i just hope all the bugs are out of the sled now because when its running good it is a beast
