Was at Mountain Magic today when Ken got his second shipment of Mountain Performance Turbos. He already had his installed and had been running it this past winter. Thought all the G4 guys might be interested in some first hand looks at this very sweet package.

Any knowledge on the Pdrive clutch cover they have on that machine? Looks purty

That would be a P-85 and a Team Tied secondary - the true solution to wobble wobble boom and blowing belts on the G4.
Bumped into Ken at Allen last year - sled ran awesome.
At the time there was 700km on the system including the turbo. Not a spec of belt dust ANYWHERE.
Ken is the master of melding the P-85 to a doo.
Ken has two machining options for the P-85.

And yes the shroud looks like a painted stock item less the heat soaking foam and plastic.

ain't no p-drive there

Looks like the stock one without the plastic shroud painted.

i think he meant the billet spider cover on the P-85

Buddy ran an MPI on his 850 last year, sold it all and won't be doing the same this year. No major issues just wasn't in love with it.
Edit: he is going to go with boondocker this year.

Out with Dave and his redline 850 kit this spring, it worked very well on the hot days late in May/June and no clutching problems all year with that sled.. His fueling is just so dam clean, and his Poo kit is no different

he worked the Impuse kit for spool every time in the hot ambient temps, so maybe plans for a change of ride this season!!

Any feedback on the new kits that are now available? Boondocker, Silber, etc? Also anybody with more redline seat time?

Redline kit on an 850 burnt to the ground at allen two weeks ago, heard a few more came out on the rope.

He literally has hundreds of kits on the snow working flawlessly, we had a non turbo doo last year crack a fuel return line at gas tank and dump endless fuel into sled just lucky it didn't light off. I'd be pissed too if my machine burnt down but this couldn't be any more vague.

Sounds like a fishing story. I have not heard of any redline failures due to kit problems.

The guy stayed at the same lodge as us, said the kit had lots of problems and never ran quite right. Thats right from the horses mouth.

Probably did the install himself. Dave stands behind his product and will get any kits that are having problems fixed. Just give him a call or ask the 100s of other riders and they will surely back him up.

Looks good, are they still running a long charge tube, can't tell by pictures or they bypassing strait to airbox from turbo.. Never thought that the 66 was big enough for 850 demands..

i see your running the belt drive, any problems with G4 turbo power on belt life?

Our belt drives hold up no problem. We have the same ones we sell the public running 700 hp grass draggers in the U.S. That’s not an advertised spec but let’s ya know they hold up. I’ll ask Rob in the morning about the long charge tube. This far we are running 7-10lbs with no issues . Definitely enough for the 850.
