Actually we don’t have a sled in the shop that doesn’t have the belt drive. Our old turbo has one with 3000+km no problems

Its generally belt tension that kills them .
Think of it like a rope. If the rope is tight its pretty tough to get a reaction. If it has play you can create a wave in the rope. The same thing with the belt . If its not tight enough when you hit the throttle you get a wave in the belt. That's when all sorts of **** goes; jumping cogs, ratcheting and then snap! Think about how tight serpentine belts are now in trucks. Similar principle.
When we bought C3 one of the first procedures we changed was installation instructions ,specifically belt tension instructions.

What is the new procedure? In the past I had to tension the belt after the gears heated up. If its set tight on the shop floor it will be way to tight after a heat soaking.

Stoped bye bye your shop this morning, wanted to see a few of your sleds, people in the shop but door locked..
Most of custom shops not open sat, especially in winter lol

Fredwin do you ever stop complaining? pdrive no good, beltdrive no good, suspension no good only baker works, clickers dont work or what do they do?, you use the tach over rev function to clutch a sled, and now dealers should always be open for you. Geeezzzzzzz..( oh ya if you add a turbo you should still have factory warranty..
