Skidoo usually doesn't have them until the fall. Although the 2016's came in august I believe

did you not get a new one last year?

I have found that it is very difficult to get a decent price for high mileage sleds. The eTec is pretty much guaranteed to perform quite well for 10,000+ but people aren't believing it. They are still in that 5000 km mode for a top end. My eyes were sort of opened with our 2014 XMX (7000+ km) and definitely opened with the 2015 T3. Both sleds took too long to sell and the discounted price was way too low. So with the 2017 G4, I decided one year's worth of km was enough. Even then, the discounted price was not what it used to be like for 1 year old sleds.

The guys that have around 300 km and sell every year are getting decent prices for but put a lot of km on that baby and see how much discount is necessary to sell the sled. With huge OEM discounts/rebates on new left-overs, great warranty, and easy financing, why would someone want a high mileage used sled with only 2 years warranty. Used sleds is a tough market these days and very different from say even 5 years ago.

Ask your dealer to search the Community Forums for 850 ETEC. The 2018s are getting some of the same changes the aftermarket had offered for the 2017. I seriously doubt the clutching and gearing will be perfect for everyone. Production setups are a compromise. At 20 feet per second for a 2000 foot climb must take one heck of a clutch setup to keep it at ~130F.

I saw a video yesterday posted on the SkiDoo facebook page that they are building G4's already. Unfortunately it looked like MXz's. Go figure.

Thinking back to last year it could be a good thing for the Summit owners to let the MXZ go first this time around.

They gotta come sooner or later and the western crowd is on the snow at least a month before the flatlanders usually. If they haven't got their chit together for the Summits I will be taking a holiday in southern Siberia for the winter months where there is no internet or snowmobile magazines to be seen.
