Who got an invite to demo the 2018s at CKMP.

My salesman thinks I am a loser so I sure didn't.

It is your duty to ride these like they are stolen and report back your findings :)

Those prototype 18's are sure not going to give much confidence to propesctive 18 buyers.. They have nothing on them that the production 18's will have and the clutches are still smoldering hot! I am amazed that they would let those sleds out for demo season with no improvements over the 17's. I realise that the 18's will be different, but this is their chance to prove it. Putting out a 17 with different paint and graphics doesn't prove much IMO.

The sleds are basically 2017's with maybe the new inner sheave on them and a 175 option for peeps to try out. The idea with really no big changes for 2018 is to give riders who haven't had a chance to ride the new platform a chance to get on it for a day and compare it to their current ride whether it be an XP or XM or a competitive brand. Its not the final product you will see for the 2018 model year as that is a running process right now.

Well hopefully everyone burns 3-4 belts off during the day to prove a point.

I get the idea of the demo program, but they are losing out on guys like me.. My 17 has been a belt nightmare all season. I have blown 11 belts with 3300kms and #12 will not last another day. For me, if I had have popped the clutch cover off of that 18 prototype and found changes and much cooler clutches, I would have ordered an 18, but when I see the same old stuff and super hot clutches it makes that a pretty tough purchase to make. I do hope the production 18's will be better, but I will not be ordering one without a written promise from a dealer that I will not be left on the hook for paying for belts again.

Definately hear ya on the belt issues. Hopefully they will help you out on your 17. I just know that they won't be putting anything on demo sleds till they have decided on a solution. They don't operate that way.

well, are you a customer or a client???

And I am asking with a bit of seriousness here....

I don't know you and I am not judging you but I have been reading all kinds of threads where some guys will travel anywhere to save a buck...I am not pointing fingers at you at all. In fact there was just a post yesterday on another thread where the guy stated why should he be loyal?...what's in it for him? My answer is days like this, where a dealer can only invite a few people...this is one place where loyalty makes sense.

Again, not judging you... just taking advantage of the moment to make a point....sometimes loyalty and long term relationships between a dealer and the buyer makes sense.

Don't worry your salesman with an attitude problem Isn't the reason you aren't there. They do a random draw for one day of riding out of hundreds of customers. Only fair way to do it really.
Good to know.
I was gonna send a hooker to Martin's to try and cheer him up.
