I had a 154/3 this year and it trenched so much. I was following an axys 2.6 he would only have a 2 foot trench, mine would have a 4-6 foot deep one. I'm 5-11 and I can stand in a trench I had going up hill and you can't see my head. I have the raptor ace kit on it, that helped abit. Going with an 18 154/2.5

Also blew one belt at 475km. The other one has over 650, but most of that's easy riding cause I hurt my back and couldn't ride hard.

I'm on the fence...had a 154 x 2.5 and was really thinking of going 154 x 3 this time around..starting to second guess with trenching reports.

Rode with some guys with the 154 x 3" and they seemed to get stuck more. Maybe it was their riding technique, maybe it was the track. Seemed to just trench when they decided to turn out.

Hmm...I can't afford to get stuck anymore than I already do...

2.5 I had worked pretty well this year. Compared to a XM, there were so many times I thought I was done...she's gonna trench and I'm digging. Somehow this track/chassis design just keeps chewing and suddenly a guy pops out of the hole and keeps moving...quite noticeable when you go from the same track length/depth in one model to the other. Thinking I keep the 3" and if a guy needs to go to a 2.5, 3" should be a fairly easy sell.

It's the best track/sled Bev has ever had. Just about every ride, she has said, "Oh.............with my other sleds I would have been stuck back there!". That is the 3" x 165 and she is quite a light rider.

The boys getting stuck on the 154's were big boys; Saskatchewan wheelie kings and donut makers. The trees weren't really their forté.
