Good Morn . The new temp on 850 t . What temp are the bars. What amount of bars are shown for riding up trail with 6 inches of new snow on trail @ 50 to 60 k. What’s normal to you? Thanks . Be safe.

Interesting you ask as my friends new turbo seemed to get hot a couple times in decent snow but then fixed itself. He thinks it could have had an airlock in the heat exchanger. Sorry don't have the exact answer you seek but thought my response was related and maybe something you saw too?

I average 4 bars even in deep snow it's still 4 bars. I have had the temp light come on at eagles but that was 30km of 3ft whoops. The definitely run a bit hotter.

Short tunnel, no flap, and the sled will start to run hotter when its on the boost, when trail riding.

Use your gauge and get a read-out of the actual temperature. Don't fool around as warranty is dependant on minimal overheats. I try to keep mine in the low 50's and I will shut it down in the 70's. I don't depend on the bars anymore. The first bells will come on at 80 degrees and eventually shut down in the high 80's.

One has to keep the alarms from ring in but in my experience the BRP electronics are glitchy I have one sled that will beep and and displays over rev limit when going downhill, braking into a corner and at 1200 rpm.

I had another that would go into limp mode for engine overheat about 100 feet from the truck and the engine was cold to the touch. Shut it down and restart and away it would go for the day. Dealer technician couldn't find anything wrong.
