I’m buying 2 new sleds, 2019 Renagade XRS & MXZ-XRS, both 850’s, carbide question?

Looking for some input regarding carbides for the skis and studs for the track. I’m looking at Woody’s products, my dealer is recommending (for the Renagade) 96 studs (1.968 grand master) on the track with 8 inch carbide ski runners, while moving the stock runners to the outer part of the skis. The stock track is the 1.6” ice cobra. Regarding the MXZ-XRS, pretty much the same set up as the renegade except for 90 studs. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I would recommend you look on DooTalk or HCS forums - Snow and Mud is more of a mountain sled crowd, not likely you'll find the answers here

I had issues with woodys studs 2 inch stud on 1.75 sno cross track ripping through my track so i ended up removing them plus didnt like the risk of chucking one at someone. All comes down to the type of riding you do if they will be a + or a - for you
