The deep snow bogging

What are we doing about the deep snow bogging i was out yesterday in 3 feet of fresh pow when my 800 xpx started to bog i was a long way's from my truck by my self so i held it to the bar till i got back to the truck after back at the truck i let it sit for awhile started it up went into a old lease with 3 feet of pow again it ran good for about 5 min's it started it again the screen on the intake of the air cleaner was plugged with snow it tried to clean it off but there was alot of ice on it ant info would be great thanks

teeroy acually snorkled his xp, check out doo-talk forum and you will see what others are doing to prevent this from happening. I have had the same trouble with mine and you just have to keep wiping the snow away from the intake.

Couldn't you get a pre-filter?

The Pre-Filters work...I have no pre-filter and they are icing up, my dad has the pre-filters and he never has to worry about ice build up, the snow does not stick and just falls off.
