I picked up the kit from the local dealer. Pretty good deal! The mechanic there said I'd have to take the throttle body off and then the air box to get at the reinforcement bracket. Did you change out both brackets, or just the steering stop bracket?

My steering stop bracket is definitely cracked. Not entirely sure what the other bracket is called underneath the steering stop bracket. It looked like the servomotor bracket in the picture here It's hard to tell without taking apart the bulkhead from what I can tell. Might be shock the bracket...

So I went to tighten the nut at the bottom of my steering column because of way to much play in the steering before it caught. Long story short my steering stop bracket is cracked in half from riding. I also cracked my servomotor mounting bracket which is just under the steering stop bracket. As...
