This set up works very well even with the extreme vent up top! Warm up left overs in 45 minutes to steaming hot, cook from frozen in 90 minutes. Saves from having burnt offerings like the thing cooker!

3 of the nine are stock SP 165 3" with all factory foam and sound deadening in place except on the guard. 1 SP and 4 X 165 3" with varying amounts of foam removed, sound deadening removed and clutch cover mod. Mine has all foam and sound deadening material removed with Diamond S mesh hood...

blowing belts ? burning too much oil ? could be related !

This photo is similar to the clutch in the video that was released on another forum or thread on this site. The key here is looking at this pattern everyday when you do your pre-ride inspection. I have a a G4 850 165 3" Summit X that gets rode pretty hard. My clutch "belt print" is perfectly...

    Nose down on XM

I'm 210 pounds. Heavy rear springs in my 2014 163 X solved the climbing issue with stock limiter setting. Still fun in the trees!

    SDI 1000 running super fat.

Keep in mind if the sensor is reading hotter temp because of the location you mounted it the computer will actually cut back fuel thinking less dense air is coming in to the engine. What rpm is this thing pulling now at WFO? I had to add pin weight when i did the pod upgrade, it may be over...

    summit 1000

You mentioned a few posts back that you installed a tstat. Which one did you put in? If it is out of an XP it should run all day at 120F. My 1K RT runs 120F unless on hard pack on the trail...gets up to 150 with the scratchers down on a cold morning...the high temp light comes on right there...

    2005 1000 stat

I installed the 800R tstat in mine also. Installed autometer temperature guage. Thermostat opens at 110F, stable at 120 all day long. On hard pack riding into the play areas had the temp up to 150F on the guage before the alarm goes off. What you are seeing is not normal. I expect you have a...

Who has used an adjustable secondary helix.

All that was intended by saying "as long as the primary set up is spot on to match the engine" was to make sure the rpm matches the OEM or your engine builders recomended rpm with the stock helix installed. This will demonstrate if your engine is actually building stock hp levels or higher and...

Who has used an adjustable secondary helix.

The shockwave is a really easy to use tuning tool. No need to settle for one tuners idea of the "right" helix in a clutch kit. Use a good primary set up verified with the stock helix then install the shockwave for additional fine tuning. My preference is the reverse cut ramps in the shockwave...
