Finally made it out to Cat Creek to see the deep snow for myself. Took a friend who had never ridden before, it was a good place for him to work on some skills. Still some land mines in the fields close to the parking lot, but further back you were more likely to get stuck than anything else...

Got the membership, bought a grouser bar as well. Maybe the next meeting I’ll donate an Esso card (google says Longview esso has diesel). I haven’t seen the trails since the cleanup weekends but I’ll get out there soon and admire the grooming work

Okay, that sounds like a very efficient method. How would a guy throw in some $$$ to fund the diesel reserve without being on the trail that day?

How are you guys typically getting diesel up the hill to fuel the groomer? Is there a storage tank up there at all?

I looked on the Alberta environment and parks site - McLean Creek has a vehicle weight restriction of 1000lbs. from Dec1-Apr30. It just says ‘snow vehicles permitted’ for sleds. In all my years of riding atv’s there I’ve never seen anyone on a sled - too many puddles and not enough snow

Can anyone confirm the time and location of the meeting today? Also has the team snap invites been sent out yet? I haven't received one as of yet and I hear there's some good info on it regarding group rides that are coming up.

I know this is an old post - but if you ever want to get out on the trails I used to know my way around McLean area quite well. Just picked up an ATV myself and I’m keen to get out and rip around

Sorry, I guess I misinterpreting this message. I thought you meant someone was going to zip up the mountain today (Friday) to see if the snow is still intact for Saturday's cleanup. I now realize you meant the snow report will be the end result of the weekend. There will be two of us present...
