I would also check the hose where the hose clamp is attached. Thats not a AC part, it has been changed before or replaced. Those small clamps dam near always cut into the hose if the hose isen't braided and if tightened too tight. FYI

I would guess that you have a cable out of spec. Probably over adjusted/under adjusted. The RPM will drop once you hit the reverse button, before going actually going into reverse. So if it stalls going into reverse, how are you getting it out of reverse to run again??

Go for the two part epoxy--it will work!! Just clean up the pieces good first..

If you are blowing random fuses, you are getting spikes in voltage. Check your voltage regulator. Its on the right side of that sled, mag side, or even replace it. Always use dielectric grease. Keeps out moisture.

It will always bond to the springs!! Wipe some high temp RED on the springs the whole length. Takes out the vibration of the springs between each coil. it will stay on the spring for many removals. Put the springs on so they are stretched THEN put the high temp on the springs.
