The smoothest riding trucks run coil overs...... I’m a die hard chev guy and know plenty that have removed the torsions and replaced with aftermarket coil overs for a multitude of applications between off-road, racing and just street trucks. And really apples to oranges to compare something that...
Ya I will say that i was probably in my teens the last time I was stuck that many times in one day. I just can’t imagine leaving a new machine in the hills because it was stuck..... It was a mile from where the groomer quits.
I rode blue river/vale last weekend in those exact conditions . If they were not cabable of getting that sled out and off the mountain they should not be on the mountain. It was basically at the trail head, you either need to personally have some backcountry know how or at the very least ride...

I run the team tss-04 on my turbo xm just finishing up dialing it in, its setup to float about 1/8". Same track speeds I was seeing with qrs except my clutches are relatively cool no matter the condition. Maybe an option on the 850's.
I had similar issues with my T etec, was a coil issue once warm it would run on one cylinder. Coils are decently cheap but if you haven't had the tank off before they can be a pain. Just read your post again did you mean you changed plugs wires and could already?
I'm running 2mm over rollers in mine and really like them. Last twice as long as factory rollers and cleaned up the bottom end when I was running the dobeck box, don't have to worry about that now though! New fuel box is working great so far!
If your capable of removing the tank, it's a really simple fix. I just put two washers on each each side of the regulator on pump assembly the new style pumps have a retainer plate to hold them down.
Honestly for what it's worth there's no way in hell I'd run stock rods in a T etec ever again. I tossed a rod at 7lbs AV gas mixed doo semi synthetic in at 50-1 and turned oiler up at dealer with vanes setup lazy at 4.25 turns solely for less load at lower rpms. Sled never missed a beat for two...
I've been running the ultimax on my turbo all season with no signs of failure, Belt still looks great. Why buy stock? Ultimax are nearly half price and carry a warranty. Started running them on our stockers now too.
