Just had the same issue with my 1998 X. Currently looking for a new MPEM. Stator coil and pickup were all ok

My MPEM module quit on me. I don't use DPM on my sled (Holtzman ATACC). I would also like to get rid of the DESS post. Does anybody know if i can use the stator, flywheel and cdi off of a non HO 670 motor? Would i have to time it to HO or non HO specs? Would i lose alot of performance...

I Have a 1998 summit x 670 ho. I don't use the DPM (I run a Holtzman ATACC which works great). I have narrowed down my ignition problems to the MPEM module. Can I use the MPEM from a MXZ 670 HO motor in my summit or are the timing curves too different? Please Advise
