......It's skeg lol... A bit of frost still in the ground perhaps..... I'm sure there's more than a few guys on here that could'nt have skipped through that spot anyways lol... Went out last week to a "Private property location of ours" and we were truckin through stuff that'd eat your lunch...
It is , and the fabric your talkin about will work but it's a bit stiff and tough to work with (wrapping around corners an stuff) it will work tho..
Putting the lights in the front bumper area work nice too , but the mounts get put to the test when your mowing over saplings (it happens).
If your runnin the stock Doo tach your almost 1000rpms too low if your at 7500.. Likely find your Pri. spring is sacked out(weak).. If your running the ole doo clutch still then do yourself a favor and remove that Tra. primary , if you cant bring yourself to throw it in the garbage can , then...
That doesnt sound surprising at all lol.. Seen them used on a 1085 and at a glance they seem like a nice setup, but the set he was using wouldnt keep a set of floats hung to save it's life..
X2 on payin the trail fees.. This is B.S an the people who skip out on contributing to fees such as grooming etc. might not think it's a big deal but they need to know that SOMEONE OWNS that machine and not only has to keep feul in it but perform maintanance on it NOT to mention what thier time...
I know that for the most part they claim thats common knowledge but on at least 3 modified rotary valve motors including mine , I've found that at best the clutch side was par or even a tad cooler than mag side.. I also noticed an even bigger differance when i put the P-85 pri. on , further...
Indeed , the plugs don't lie..
And look on the bright side.. Modman didn't suggest ridin yer weapon upsidedown to get the float levels dialed in lolol.
I'll tell ya.. You gotta watch these (403) boys... they do things a lil different down there! haha.
Well see , now i know two things that i didnt know before.
1) A feul tank is not just a tank ( it is gonna work nicely too ).. AND..
2) Never take advice from anyone with the numbers 403 in front of thier tel. # hahaha.
Thx.
If your runnin the 44 rounds , I have jets .. 390 - 380 should be safe ( if your THAT rich) an go down from there dependin how cold she is .... We got some pretty good air down here the last week ( like REALLY good air! Bbrrrr! lol ) so don't drop er too much if you ditched your hac stuff. Also...
Actually , some of the koolest lookin old mods were non ski-doo chassis' sleds like the ole polaris wedge's runnin the rotax for juice... Nice to see (and hear em ) screamin around still.... Now that's what this section needs is a " Lets see your old skool wedge mod" thread!!
Re: Clear feul tank for S chassis.
I hear ya , thats kinda why i was askin how they draw feul cuz if they had a baffel in there somewhere then i figured just drilling a new hole in a new location might not work, but thats not the case.. Thanx.
Has anybody ever had any luck using the clear tank from an mxzx 440 on thier mod S chassis?
I noticed in the parts microfiche, (2 points for using big words lol) that the feul supply comes out in a different spot..
The mxzx race tank's port is at the top of the tank and the standard S...
Lol.. I hear ya man.. Refreshments are like ugly chicks at last call.. Everyone has thier "flavor" but when supplies of the good stuff runout , you often find it surprising what you'll settle for.. like vodka and grape kool aid.... lol.
I have a tool to get yer clutches lined up for a...
The 300-127 is the correct length for that setup..
If Your secondary is shimmed quite tight , I personally would recomend removing some shims from the bulkhead side and adding some to the bolt side (you may need a longer bolt) and let that sucker bang away side to side.. Floating your secondary...
Some food for thought regarding oil brands and exactly WHO makes what.
Back in the late 80's or early 90's when dodge teamed up with cummins , a buddy of mine says to me " Yup, I'm not payin that ridiculous price at the dealer for mopar 15-40 oil. I'm goin straight to cummins in the city and...
Say 'Twin Turbo' , Does your last name happen to start with a 'k' and end with a 'k' with about 15 letters in between ? ( hahaha seriously!! ) If so , I'm good friends with your brother.. Thought he mentioned somethin to me about that handle 'Twin Turbo' before.
The machining was done by a buddy so the cost was very little.. A couple cold molson products lol.. I imagine if a guy had to pay a machine shop , it may be cheaper going the route you mentioned . ( using the 'zx' shaft and just putting the larger bearing and seal into your chaincase)
