Best GPS APP for Iphone w/ altitude

I'm certainly no expert in the field but my understanding is that all electronics have the potential to interfere with a beacon in search mode, this includes phones, gps, portable radios, etc. It seems that most experts are recommending that all electronics be located about 2' from your beacon...

    Draining fuel tank

I use the jiggle siphon hose and it does work quite well, if you tip the sled over a bit you can get most of the fuel out and stabilize what is left. There is definitely two schools of thought for storage (full tank/empty tank) but I wouldn't trust burning a full tank of fuel that has been...

    Official 2015/2016 Fernie conditions

We just rode four days in the Fernie area and the riding was exelent, we rode great untracked snow all day each day. A big thank you to Sledalot and FernieSnow for showing us around their back yard. The company was as good as the riding. Now a few days skiing with the family, what a vacation!

To remove the kill switch or not?

Thanks for the ride on Friday. I had a great time, you were a great guide and definitely an ambassador for snowmobiling in Fernie. Any word on how things turned out with the fellow having health issues on the hill.

    Looking for a riding partner

I'm in Fernie for the 6, 7 and 8 and would like to get out to ride if someone is looking for a partner or a group that wouldn't mind me tagging along. I am an average rider not into anything to extreme and have avalanche gear and training so know how to use the gear.

    Hasler riding conditions

We were out there last week and the road was good. The trail in is quite rough but the riding area was very good, about a foot of fresh snow then.
