Like I said, I also agree they made the right choice when they implemented the ban. I just asked that they re-evaluate it once conditions changed like they have and they did as they lifted the bans for southern Alberta. So, applause for the government. [emoji1360][emoji1360]
So, are you condoning an OHV ban any time there is a fire ban? As that is how I'm interpreting what you're saying and what I'm talking about as I have never heard of that happening.
Any county that had significant snow/rain fall like Nordegg and SW Alberta should be looked at individually...
Are we still talking about OHV bans or fire bans?
I don't have a problem with fire bans at all, but for those older than me (40), how many fire related OHV bans have any of you lived through? I don't remember a single one.
I was doing a dualsport trip through Idaho in 2014 and it was one of...
I don't think many of us were arguing against the ban when the whole province was dry. It's smart to focus the limited resources where they are most needed.
What we are arguing is that half the province is wet and covered in snow now, so the chances of starting a fire are virtually nil. It...
Awwww, you don't even know me but starting with pillow talk already?
This forum really makes me laugh. :) I'm a part of many other motor related forums and I've got to say that this one entertains me the most with the childish, self-righteous, narrow-minded...
Ok, thanks takethebounce. Makes sense. Adjusted the belt etc but also thought deflection meant alignment but it doesn't. Thats what the clutch alignment tool is for. :)
I'm finding sled mechanics quite different from other forms of motorsports that I work on.
Cheers,

So, I'm still learning lots about the sled and scouring the forums for tech tips etc and arrived at this topic. I found GSR/Sledshots excellent tech tip video on adjusting the deflection and was wondering if this is the same method as some people call the "creep" method. Thoughts? I'd like to...
Great setup, thats exactly what I was looking for! I wonder how those u-clamp and bolts are going to hold up where they attach. Want to share where you got the hardware? Thanks.
Sounds good guys, thanks. I'm 195lbs and my buddies are max that or lighter but I think I'll go the tunnel stiffener route regardless. With two dudes one on each board and two pairs of skis and a jerry, might be a bit much weight for the tunnel. I don't fully understand the straps on the skis...
Hey guys, I'm new to sleds and don't know what weight a tunnel on the new XPs can take. I'm getting the CFR rack and two ski mounts and wondering if that might be too heavy and eventually cause a bent tunnel if I carry two pairs of skis with poles and possibly a jerry can? CFR is selling a...
