Re: 2018 Skidoo Summit G4 850 Mechanical Changes.
I think everyone just needs to calm down and ride there sled.
Yes, you may break something while riding. But has that changed from years past?
They are working on a fix. It's not expensive, parts wise anyway.
And you don't know what Doo is...
So I'm not to sure if this helps anyone or if it could be some of the issue.
I recently got back from a 3-day trip and put on 160 ish km.
No problems other than normal belt dust on white plastic......
I removed the hood and did a bit of a inspection. Every thing looks good so I plug off the...
Put 130km on in revy and the only issue was frozen switch for the hand warmers... ran awesome . Has some belt dust for sure. Noticed that the primary has about 1" of unused area around the outside. Not sure if that's normal or not. Can't remember what my XM looked like.
Over all I like it...
anyone know if the Doo adjustable riser for the G4 MXZ / renegade ( P/N 860201429) works on the summits? its 4.9" to 6.3". sounds about perfect for us short guys, ( im 5,9) and i find the stock 7.5" way to tall.
thanks guys, i think i will be getting some, but i just bought a house and am in the middle of moving/ fixing cars to make more $$ to spend on this dam sport lol.
thanks again
ran both and both work well. i get the DOMINATOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Racing Oil for $40 a jug, so i run that.
everyone has a favorite,
my buddy had a turbo M8 and the oil line got pinched , melted the seals out of the motor it got so hot. we put seals in it and it ran for two more years.
anyone running the C&A Pro BX ski on there XM? I took my buddys Cat for a ride and noticed they steer a bit heavy on his sled but it was very responsive when turning and side hilling.
thanks
Head down to Mountain Magic. guys in there are great, we stopped in just to pick up a air cylinder for a avi bag , and the showed us around , nice people and they build some nice sleds!
I have a DC goggle holder, its a hard foam holder that fit right in the CVT cover. at first it didn't work very well as there wasn't much heat getting in the bag.
So i took a hole saw and put two or three holes behind where the bag sits, and a hole in both ends of the goggle bag. to let heat...
if its a theft recovery it won't have warranty , they flag the VIN, best check it with the dealer. as for the front end, get a S-36 kit and you'll have everything for cheap and spare's.
the head light is only 200 from the dealer. but I would buy a Head light delete hood ( can't remember the...
Call who ever you bought it from and have them call there supplier, MBRP sent out a bunch of Race can's that were not built right. my dealer ended up sending all theres back for replacments.
the freeride shocks are night and day. i never could ride my 13XM like i can the 14 freeride. sooooo much more stable on the trail and the fields/ ditch. and once your in the mountain, just take off the sway bar and its almost as easy to ride as the XM with 36" front end. it side hills just...
your best bet would be renshaw, long trail up but I think they got the best snow. trail pass's are there at the parking lot , or just down the trail a bit. there is a little cabin with someone selling pass's. $20 a day I think, or it was last year.
not sure about the maps, I know there's one in...
Maxwell i know what your talking about, my trail can fits, but i had to pull the pipe down a but so it would. my 13XM MBRP pipe fit great, i got the springs to work on the trail can, but your right , they could send better instructions or a pic.
i think this is the last MBRP sled can i buy.
