Anybody ride in the Eureka area lately?
I have an engine I'd like to break in before I mothball the toy and I'm curious about Graves Creek staging area.
Like to know if the snow line is hanging around low enough to ride to the lakes and back.
Hi all, I have an 09 Dragon with about 2400 miles. Recently bought the sled as it was in great shape and I was confident the engine was addressed. However, 4 of the 5 rides I took this thing on had flashing service lights or worse. took it to a dealer and they pulled codes, nothing alarming...
Once upon a time, I came across a Google map with someone's GPS track/route, to Fording, laid out on it. If I remember right, he also had descriptions with creek crossings, left vs right turns, and landmarks to watch for etc. I distinctly recall his photos of Mt. Boulton and his plea for riders...
Still can't understand why this thread is so quiet. Anyhow, anybody been to the Ten Lakes area this year? Enough snow for the groomer to be in service yet?
There is closer access to the trail system near CF that you may want to consider. I believe it is called 'China Basin' (verify that) and it will get you onto the south end of the groomed trails and near Big Mountain.
The snow over there should be better as well. Also, you will need a non-resident...
Wow! So quiet on this thread. So was down to Graves through Xmas and had a good time. Question is, has anyone been around the Marston area and did the fire destroy what was there or is it better riding and access to Olney system?
Kudos to Glen, Kaz and Scott for their dedication and hard work (and to all others I'm not aware of as I write). Been out twice this year, as my aching back can attest to. Having a blast. Here's hoping for some snow for Xmas!!
A friend was out there on Monday. They had staged at Etherington. Said the coverage was thin but got better the further south they went. Cataract would be the better choice to drive to. Not sure if there has been any new snow these last couple of days or not. Try and get yourself a map before...
This site has been quiet for this time of year. Surely somebody has been out. Snotel says 45" @ Stahl and 21" @ Graves Creek.
What kind of shape is Birch staging area?
Any updates for Olney area or Columbia Falls?
Just about play time.
Been riding the Graves Creek and Eureka / Olney area for about 6 years now.
Never had ay troubles with border at all. Just make sure you have ALL your paper work in place.
Locals are excellent! Always willing to give directions and share their thoughts on the trail systems and conditions.

Hi All!
This corner of the riding area posts has been unusually quiet!
Coming down Easter weekend an hope to get out to Graves Creek. Has anybody been out lately that an provide an update as to the staging area and trail conditions?
Saturday, was out to the south near where Pasque and Cummins creek trails fork talking to a few other sledders. All our machines were turned off when all four of us heard a loud but short lived roar like a train. Seemed to come from directly west of our position. I've never witnessed a full on...
Kaz Dog,
Thanks for the update. Very useful.
I was planning to take a neighbor out there on Saturday AM to ride the trails and do some exploring from Cataract PRA. My question is, he has an older sled that is in good running order but his track is crap. Will he be OK or am we in for a day of...
thanks for the replies folks. Went up and did some easy trail riding and found a few spots to play. eventually went up to Red Meadow Lk for a look. Can certainly see how it could get sketchy in there. Nice views etc however.
Hi all, down in the Eureka area just now and I'm looking for some feedback on the riding in Stillwater and Fitzsimmons area leading to the upper whitefish lake and other connectors. any info will do.
People,
please help, i've got an 03 Summit 800 HO where my gauges and hand warmers all went about 10 miles into my first ride this year. i've tried 3 relays and all same results, no change. head lights are dim and a few warning lights are on the speedo guage and reverse alarm is very faint...
