My 2012 acted similar. Would run ok for a couple minutes then bog bad. The dealer found a loose RAVE valve bolt. Seemed to fix the problem right away. Hasn't happened since.
I have a 800 xp 2010. I put a clutch kit in it. It rev' s perfect at 8200 rpm on the 3rd clicker. Once the sled warms up to in a minute or two it will rev too high...Way to high. It probably gains 600-800 more rpm. It bounces on the rev limiter. Once it cools down it will runs at 8200 again...
Tapping the puller isn't the greatest idea. Tap on the inside of the clutch shaft with a brass punch if it needs that shock factor to release. Its worked for me every time.
Ok. We are all looking for more snow. Who's got some decent snow? I rode Mica and we have about 5.5 feet in the trees with a decent base to rip around on. Its still wind blown and boney up top. Lets hear about other mountains.
Just had to do mine up in the mountains. I took out a chain wrench to brace the clutch. You can get a lot of torque on the bolt but more importantly, more torque to thread the puller in to pop the clutch off.
Cheers,
No, Up at Mica Mountain out of 100 Mile House. We are heading in today to get er. The sky is looking good so we'll throw on a new clutch and push through to the good riding areas for the rest of the day. I want to hit Owls Head asap but a couple of my buddies said there was hardly any snow up...
If ya wanna go during the week or weekend.... I'm in most of the time.
I know the areas pretty well now.
Also looking for new riding partners around the area.
