The cages don't stand up in rollovers. I swapped out for a boondocker wire intake. You have to covert intake from 3" on the boondocker cage to 2.5 to the turbo. Tough as hell once it's on.

Can just about guarantee one of the small vacuum hoses blew off the intercooler, bov, or MCX control box. Would create the vacuum leak causing poor idle and when spooled up boost signal wouldn't get to the map sensor in the control box telling it to fire the aux injectors thus causing the lean...

We have steel MCX shims in stock in Prince George. Detonation in my experience is the only that takes out an aluminum shim. A bad batch of fuel was probably the culprit. The 270 kit pushes the limits of pump fuel so if the fuel isn't up to snuff they will knock.
