I've been riding out West of Alder (not this year), I think it's called Rose Creek Recreation trails. There's a campsite I think something like seven Km from the edge of town. As for the horse back riders, I've never seen or heard anything about it. I hear there's lots of hunting and fishing out...
Anoyone been out in the Alder Flats area yet this year? We rode it at the end of March last year and there was still snow, but the riding was good. I've got cabin fever and need to get out! :rant:
We went to Whitecourt on Sunday. The trails were bumpy and boring. :mad: Ditches were OK. There is definitely enough snow to keep your track cool. No base yet, though. Gotta watch for rocks and stumps and culverts. Definitely worth the drive from Spruce Grove. 12 - 18 inches of snow depending on...
The trails near Whitecourt are supposed to open todat. Check the website whitecourt.ca/trailblazers. I fired off a message to them a few days ago. Apparently, about 10 inches, no base.
It is sad that these two folks see 1 or 2 snowmobilers speeding or being a jackass and automatically label the whole group of us as non-law-abiding drunks who only ride at night in illegal areas. The responsible ones pack out what you pack in, regardless of the trash. These people need something...
