Re: THese city boys use Moving Vans to come to Whitecourt
The Whitecourt trails are designated snowmobile only all year. Our trails go through a lot of soft terrain and the rutting in the summer is just as bad. They take a toll on the groomers in the early season when we have little snow...
This fall I picked up a 13 summit x 163. Historically I am a Polaris guy and have a 13 pro 163 in the shop as well. The pro has the rkt drop in kit otherwise stock, where the summit I put an Mbrp can, belly pan protector, and clutching.(I started with rooster built but did not care for it, so I...
I got the RB kit with a 20t and found the clutches were running hot. I went down to 19t and it was better but it is constantly back shifting. It was really making a lot of belt dust and I ended up blowing a belt on the trail out. I put in the team tied conversion and what a difference. Way...
Silber's take is that with extra injectors adding fuel from your tank (0C- -20C on average) out weights the high charge temps. He told me that they tried an intercooler and it wasn't effective. On my D8t with a BD intercooler kit I was seeing charge temps about 90F average. It will be...
I just spang for a Silber kit. After reading on the forums and talking with Justin his kit seems pretty good. And it is $2000 cheaper then BD....that puts it about $2800 cheaper then an Aero kit. If it works as everyone is saying...well at least i will be able to sit down at the end of the...
I am running the BD kit with the intercooler and it runs great with very little lag. I never ran it with out the intercooler so I can't comment if this is worse. I am seeing charge temps as low as 65F but ave is 85F at 9psi.
We've been riding for the past 4 days at 5000' to 7000'. The weather is about 18F in the morning here and this sled is very hard starting and requires holding 1/4 throttle or it won't start. At elevation I am finding about 25% of the time I try start the engine warm I need throttle also....why...
Re: Quarts creek
I still stand by my statement. What he did was wrong, and he should have stopped. If your out driving in an ice storm and get into an accident you had better have insurance too as it could be no ones fault and you'll have to pay for your own repairs. Maybe both people are at...
