Fundraising Raffles - What would interest you?

Whatever prize you go with, talk to the dealers. With the raffles that we run, dealers are usually willing to cut a pretty decent deal in exchange for them being acknowledged on the tickets and advertising. That leaves more green in your pocket as the required prize value required by the AGLC...

Fuel usage on turbo vs n/a?

I ride a NA 154 3". Buddy got a 165 Turbo. So far he has consistently burnt less fuel than me and by quite a margin. We are roughly the same weight.

    Best gps for sledding

I like the looks of the Lynq Smart Compass but not sure how well they would work once in the mountains with trees and other obstacles.

To the "experts"; thoughts and insights please.

Electrical draws can be a real treat to diagnose. I use the disconnects like Maxwell posted on my vehicles that sit for any length of time.

Chinese diesel heaters for enclosed sled trailer

Also curious if anyone has vented out the wall. I think this is how we want to install ours and wondering if anyone found a suitable vent to use or if we should just build our own.

    Baofeng radios!

I'm using the one that came with my radio. Seems to work pretty well. One thing to make sure you do is get your volume adjusted before the radio is in your backpack and hard to reach. With that thing in your ear it is LOUD if you have it turned up too high.

    2015 M8000 running like a dog

Power commander is a Bikeman I believe. Doesn’t seem to make a difference if it’s in or out. Power valve cables have been checked. He does have the Bikeman magnetic weights but the low RPM issue has been there ever since they were installed so they shouldn’t have been screwed already...

    2015 M8000 running like a dog

Ok, reeds have already been replaced. He had wanted a stiffer secondary spring but apparently was sold a softer one. Changed that back and it’s a bit better. Tried switching the can to a Thing can with no change. Removed the controller and seems to keep more consistent rpm but still low...

    2015 M8000 running like a dog

A friend of mine has a 2015 M8000 154 2.6” track He has a Bikeman y pipe and pipe, a fix clutch kit and a controller with D&D can. It doesn’t seem to matter how the clutching is set up, it only wants to pull about 7000 RPM at 6000 feet. One suggestion is a weak fuel pump but that is a...

    Pellet grill

I’ve had a Traeger for 7 years and haven’t lit my propane BBQ since. I find that I don’t need to sear a steak on the Traeger as it doesn’t dry out like on a propane grill. If you want to really step up, check out Yoders. These units are built like a tank but better looking. Westview COOP in...

    Summit gauge question

As far as I can tell the only way to have the temp is to have speed on the top.

    Summit gauge question

Does anyone know if it is possible to have programming for the gauge changed so that different info can be displayed? I would like to have RPM on the top with temperature on the bottom. Really not too interested in speed. I know there is the temp bars on the side but they are a pretty coarse...

I tried the plastic bags in my Thing cooker can and it ended poorly. Melted plastic does not come off the food or the can easily

How many bring non riding family members with them on trips?

We have been making a trip to Fernie every February when the kids are out of school. My wife and kids come along and they ski, snowshoe, cross country ski, shop and hangout. We either rent a house or condo and then we can all hang out in the evening.

    Royal warning.

I was going to do an online order from them about a month ago and the system wanted to charge me shipping. Called them and got the "outside major areas spiel" but when they manually entered my Postal Code, they told me that indeed I did qualify for free shipping. Completed the order over the...
