This isn't a ATV ,UTV anti post. This area is a PARK. Wheeled OHVs are not allowed in the plan. That's it no if and buts. Think of it being Banff National Park. You cant use any motorized recreation there. You cant ride your OHV in Calgary city either.

If the area get used by wheeled OHVs there is a easy option for the government to just close it down to all motorized activity. That is what we don't want to see. This area is a GEM within a short distance from Calgary. It was set up many years ago and still remains today. I give Thanks for the Calgary Snowmobile Club to start taking care of this area as a club managed trail system. They are working hard to keep this area open and are doing what they can to self police the area to keep this area open for the future.

You cant ride your OHV in Calgary city either.

But some do,,,Its on the news

I'm sure you guys see the untouched powder off trail and obey the law and stay on the trail and pass it up. Good one. Why does everyone on here think this forum is read by everyone else in the country? Saying don't go there on here isn't going to stop someone if they don't read it here. Is there a sign at staging clearly stating no off-road vehicles? Can you post a pic please. if not pony up your beer money for the week (probably too much anyway) and post a fricken sign. Stop bitching about it and do something about it. lawfully.:twocents::deadhorse:

Wow you are obviously the voice of reason.

Here is your picture. It isn't the only sign in the area. It isn't the only sign that says OHV's are prohibited either. There have been signs for a number of years. It's not new.

And you are right, not everyone in the country comes on this forum but when I google cataract creek snowmobile it gives me a lot of info just like this

well I guess signs only keep the honest honest thank you for posting it. The you tube videos name is right there call the cops and get him charged. With signage and regulations in place he deserves a fine.

Out at Maclean creek they post signs that the falls trail is closed. I found three old signs in the river and two back in the brush.
Are these idiots really stupid enough to think that if they rip down the sign it will be ok to ride there ??

sorry to say, people don't read signs, usually just follow someone else, in this case on a sled. if you see someone who is riding a quad here let them know, let them decide what to do next. you are not the police, grabbing someones key and running may be the stupiddest thing I have heard, two wrongs don't make a right. a few guys in rocky ened up with a few fines for being on closed trails this summer, word gets around.

golly, there's a bullet hole in that sign. I better tell people who bring guns out there that it's not allowed.

You call the cops or SRD. End of story.

I always say its not a crime until someone gets jealous. Looks like this bunch would be better off in a Walmart parking lot. Same riding, not as far to drive. Anyway, they had some kids with them it looks like, leave them alone if there not hurting anyone!!

There is hunting permitted in that area, there is a management program in place. Various wildland parks allow hunting. Any place that allows hunting or the discharge of firearms will lead to a hole in a sign by some irresponsible user.

So what was your point?
