Looking for somewhere close to Calgary for a quick Saturday afternoon ride to test repairs and was wondering if anyone has been out to McLean Creek or Sibbald trails recently.I know that they were logging Sibbald earlier this winter but are they finished.I also know that the Elbow loop is closed this year.Or does McLean have decent snow coverage further west or is it really rutted up by Quads. If anyone has info please let me know thanks.

McLean creek is ch!t, all rutted up from quads. Signs say only snowmobiles from dec to April but it seems nobody cares. Quite a bit of snow but tough sledding with quad tracks.

Ya,we headed up to Sundre area that weekend and had a great time.Lots of snow up that way.Waist deep in the tree's that weekend. Didn't think I would ever see that in central Alberta.

Anyone got recent conditions for MacLean or Sibbald Creek? Gonna take the wife out to one of those places this weekend for her first time on a snowmobile. Or is it worth logging the extra 70km to get to cataract?

From what i hear, Sibbalds is only good after a big dump of fresh snow, winds, chinooks and quads wreck is shortly after. You can ride sled at MacLean creek??
